What are some of the courses that are pertinent to your career interests?
I am aligning most of my courses towards having a deep understanding of the energy sector. I am taking regular business courses in addition to specialized economic theory courses that explain the natural resources markets present in Canada.
What are some of the skills you have acquired in your degree program?
One of the most valuable skills that I developed as entering post-secondary education is the ability to manage my time efficiently in order to be able to juggle between academic, sportive, extra-curricular and work commitments. Another great skill that I learned from my business education is to be bold and not be afraid to tackle bigger challenges.
Have you taken part in leadership or volunteer activities? If so, can you describe them briefly.
As soon as I enrolled at the University of Calgary, I joined AIESEC Calgary – a student organization enabling international work exchanges – as Vice-President Communications. Also, I recently joined the Aboriginal Youth Advisory Committee which will advise Heritage Canada regarding funding opportunities for project helping the young urban aboriginals.
What are your plans for your future career? (short term & long term)
In the long term I am aiming to work in the petroleum land management sector of the energy industry. In the meantime, I am looking for challenging work experience that would allow me to gain a broader knowledge of the industry.

In my free time, I enjoy playing squash, travelling to scuba dive and hitting the slopes in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
